Introduction

Roger Wan is a passionate in photography and is particularly talented in portrait photography, despite the fact that he suffers from poliomyelitis resulted from a high fever at a young age which limits his activities in a wheelchair. When awarded the first gold medal in the portrait competition for Hong Kong at The 6th International Ambilympics in India in 2003, he made such sharing: “This is what I believe about life: if you are willing to work hard and to learn, you can definitely achieve your goals. I’m happy to show the world that Hong Kong people can win.”

Apart from receiving guidance from a professional photographer, Mr. Alain Yip under the arrangement made by ADA, in which he was able to further his photography skills, Roger has also been enthusiastically promoting inclusive arts to the world through active participation in various photography competitions and exhibitions. Roger, being an ADA Angel from 2005 to 2009, worked as a workshop instructor and lecturer, took part in the public education programme and visited many schools and organizations to share his experience.
